Be Assertive: Assertive communication goes a long way in earning respect without coming across as too rude or too polite. Emotionally intelligent person knows exactly how to maintain a balance between being aggressive and being passive. So, communicate without hurting other’s feelings.
Practice self-awareness: Emotionally intelligent people are self-aware. They are aware about their own emotions and how their emotions effects people around them. They can also understand others’ emotions and nonverbal signs and use that information to enhance their communication skills. Be Proactive than Reactive: Emotionally intelligent people are always ready to face any difficult situations as they are well prepared in advance. During the time of conflict or stressful situation, they know how to keep calm and they never make any impulsive decisions that can lead to bigger problems.
